Economic autonomy with gender focus, rights, and sustainability approach
What do we work on? / Our focus
At SSF Bolivia, we understand economic strengthening as a key pillar for autonomy, empowerment, and the exercise of rights for women and youth. Our work in this area seeks to expand opportunities for employability, self-employment, and the generation of decent income, especially in contexts of social and economic inequality, integrating a gender, human rights, and sustainability approach.
Who do we work with?
We develop this line of action partnered with:
• Women: adolescents, youths, and adults.
• Youth: in situations of social and economic vulnerability.
• Individuals: with entrepreneurial initiatives or those seeking employment.
• Community Leaders: linked to productive and social processes.
How do we do it?
We implement training and support processes aimed at strengthening personal, technical, and social capacities, combining:
• Financial education and personal finance for economic autonomy: focused on informed decision-making, responsible resource management, and personal and family economic planning.
• Skill development for employment and entrepreneurship.
• Technical support and personalized guidance
• Integration of a gender perspective into economic processes: promoting co-responsibility and the reduction of structural gaps
Furthermore, we incorporate innovative approaches such as the circular economy, green and sustainable economies, and social impact entrepreneurship, adapting content to local realities and the current challenges of the labor and productive landscape.
What types of actions do we develop?
• Workshops and courses in financial education, personal finance, entrepreneurship, and employability.
• In-person and virtual training processes.
• Support and guidance for productive initiatives and self-employment.
• Spaces for exchange, mentorship, and economic leadership.
• Production of educational materials and communication resources focused on economic autonomy.
