« We promote equality, empowerment, and the exercise of rights for women and youth in Bolivia »
Youth as protagonists of social change: from personal leadership to collective action, with a gender and rights approach.
What do we work on? / Our focus
At SSF Bolivia, we drive transformative leadership and youth participation processes aimed at strengthening the active role of adolescents and young people as subjects of rights and protagonists of social change. We approach leadership as a progressive process that begins with personal strengthening and projects toward organized participation, collective action, and community advocacy.
Our approach promotes the development of individual capacities—such as self-esteem, identity, decision-making, and critical consciousness—and their articulation within spaces for youth participation, social organization, and the construction of collective proposals that contribute to the transformation of gender and social inequalities in their territories.

How do we do it?
We implement comprehensive training and participatory processes, based on transformative leadership and a gender and human rights approach, which combine:
• Experiential training in personal and collective leadership.
• Skill development for participation, communication, and collaborative work.
• Strengthening of critical consciousness, identity, and sense of belonging.
• Support for youth processes of organization, coordination, and community advocacy.
As part of these processes, we incorporate tools for the identification and articulation of youth and community networks, which help visualize local initiatives, strengthen organized participation, and foster coordination between youth, organizations, and institutions within the territory.
What types of actions do we develop?
• Transformative leadership schools and training processes.
• Participatory workshops and spaces for personal and collective reflection.
• Encounters, talks, and community activations led by youth.
• Support and mentorship for youth initiatives and community advocacy processes.
• Strengthening and coordination of youth and community networks.
• Spaces for dialogue and coordination between youth and public or social institutions.
